The Global Health Academy’s key objectives are to:

“Creating, Disseminating and Applying Global Health Knowledge. Together”

Global Research

The Academy will contribute towards research and evidence based interventions against the major health problems affecting low- and middle- income societies across the globe. Priorities that the Academy has identified will include the dual burden of disease, social inequalities in health and the translation of leading scientific advances into effective interventions.

The Academy will act as a portal for both UK wide and global research groups and collaborations wishing to create networks within Health and strengthen their approach to donors and funding agencies - helping to establish research hubs with international partners. A key aim of the Academy is to facilitate long-term institutional capacity strengthening of our Southern partner universities in Africa and Southeast Asia to undertake research, education, administration, and knowledge management.
